»Biquor Holiday Party 2008
»
Biquor Retreat at Westminster Woods
»Goodbye Whitney!

1
Christmas 2008

Our salon Christmas Party was held this year at Simi winery in Healdsburg.

Adelina's nephews Joshua and Dominic Felciano hosted this party for us. Joshua is a chef at Simi and was gracious enough to invite us to this beautiful venue. The room was gorgeous, the table was set to perfection, the food was delicious and the service impeccable! Not to mention the wine which was of course from Simi and paired perfectly with the meal. All had a wonderful time as you will see in the pictures.

We wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to both Joshua and Dominic for being gracious hosts.

Biquor and Biquor Teambuilding
and Leadership Training

If you haven’t been you have to try it.

Westminster Woods is located in Occidental near the Russian River and the Sonoma Coast. The course is located in a beautiful Redwood canyon which houses many varieties of plants and animals. Their programs seek to explore: teamwork, cooperation, problem solving, communication, group and personal success, and failure in a physically and emotionally supportive environment.

Angela
"You start by doing ground work like blind folding each other and using your partner’s voice for direction and learning how to trust one another. Then they have you work up in the trees walking up logs thirty feet in the air, walking on rope and climbing up gigantic redwood trees. These challenges are meant to encourage the groups to go beyond their normal comfort zones, but ultimately each participant determines their level of involvement."

Shirley
"I loved spending this time together. This gave us the opportunity to learn team building skills outside the salon in a different environment. The ropes course helped me overcome some fears that I didn’t even know I had. Everyone should experience this; it was a lot of fun."

Melissa -
" At first I was thinking it’s going to be rainy, cold and I wasn’t in the mood to go but when I got with my group and went through the course I had the time of my life. When I was up in the air swinging from the ropes my team cheered me on and gave me the encouragement that helped me finish. I knew that if I could get through this I could accomplish anything."

Carley -
"
This experience taught our group how to work together as team. The ropes course is a reminder to always work as a team because we are all in this for the same reason and we can have fun doing it. I think this was a bonding experience that brought us closer together."

Colleen –
" This was a wonderful experience. I was afraid of heights but was able to find it in myself to climb up the redwoods. My team was very supportive and encouraged me to step beyond my boundaries."

Adelina –
" The course was very scary and took me to my limits. Teamwork is powerful and this brought us all closer together. The staff at the ropes course was wonderful. This was a great opportunity."

Cindy –
" This was a very positive experience. It was interesting to see the reserved part of the group allow their team to lead them helping them through the course. I am afraid of heights but when I saw my team members go through the courses it encouraged me to finish them all. My co-workers motivated me throughout the challenging day and I said if they can do it so can I."

Emily -
"It was exciting and fun. The experience brought me to the conclusion that we can solve any problems when we do it together."

Everyone at Biquor & Biquor wishes Whitney Millstone the best of luck on her new adventures in Ithaca, New York!

Whitney is leaving to be with her boyfriend Max while he finishes his degree in business. He then plans to attend law school, hopefully in California!

Whitney has been with us since 2006 starting as a receptionist and quickly moving through our Assistants Program to become a full time Stylist.

Whitney has displayed maturity far beyond her years and is an extremely talented stylist. She is motivated, confident and gracious. Whitney is a true team player who will be missed by all of us, staff and clients!

Thanks for everything Whitney—it has truly been a pleasure!

Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together? I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves. Then we would have to say good-bye. I hate good-byes. I know what I need. I need more hellos.
